What is Sample Dump?
Sample Dump serves two purposes:

One, to download, instantly, unique samples, music and loops.

Two, to be able to share (and sell!) your own original samples, loops and music!

Is my info secure and private?
Absolutely! First, we don't store or ask for credit card info at all (when you make an order you're taken to a trusted credit card processing site, your choice of 2CheckOut or PayPal). Also your basic info when you sign up is kept strictly confidential and will NEVER be sold or given to ANY third party.

Finding Your Way Around

What can I do on here? What will I find?
We have two main ways to enjoy the site:

Browse around, listen to demos, download free music and samples. We offer unique VST sample libraries, sound effects, music beds, loops and basically anything a creative type might need in the department of downloadable sound and music tools. We have many different providers of content, so you'll find all kinds of cool stuff here.

Become a Sample Provider. This is free. Once you've joined as a Sample Provider, you can share your music, loops and samples with the world. You can give them away or set your own price.

Membership

What are the different membership levels?
There are two ways to join Sample Dump:

The first type of member is called the Customer Member. Membership is totally free and instant. You can download free stuff and take advantage of many of Sample Dump's cool features.

Official Sample Providers get to share and sell their products and creations on the site. There are many features included with full Sample Provider membership. And it's absolutely free!

Why do I have to join?
Many of our products are free. We want to build a large community of creative people. As a free-to-join Customer Member you have instant access to tons of free content as well as great prices on high quality and one-of-a-kind content. The next level of membership is achieved by becoming a Sample Provider. Being a full Sample Provider Member allows you to sell your own products and put up free showcase material.

How do I become a Member?
Become a Customer Member simply by choosing "Register" on the site, or downloading one of our free products.

To become a Sample Provider, click on Sell Your Stuff! from the top menu strip. Add the FREE Membership item to your cart and check out. At that point you'll be able to create a regular customer account (if you don't already have one) and fill out the required fields to become a Sample Provider. You'll receive a Getting Started Manual shortly after your order, as well as the special log in information you'll need to get to your Provider account.

What kind of products can I sell on Sample Dump
Our most popular category (at this time) is Sample Instruments for Native Instruments popular Kontakt software. You are certainly welcome provide samples for other popular sample software as well (Steinberg Halion, IK Multimedia's SampleTank, etc). These would usually be prepared in the format of the particular software sampler it was made for (e.g. .nki files, .nkg files, etc)

We also have categories for background music, music for film, television, the web and games. These would usually be WAV or AIFF files.

In addition there are Loops categories, to put up drum loops, beat loops and the like. These would usually be WAV or AIFF files.

And lastly, we have Sound Effects categories. These would usually be WAV or AIFF files.

If there is a category that you would like to see on Sample Dump, just let us know! We're here for you so we'll be happy to put up other categories. For instance, if there is a demand for MIDI files, we'll be happy to provide our Sample Providers with the proper tools to offer them.

Of course, everything has to be your own original work, or work that you have the right to distribute.

What if i don't see the appropriate cateogry to upload my products to?
No worries, Sample Dump's got your back! Once you log into your Sample Provider back-end account, you'll see that there are actually many available categories to upload your products to, it's simply that categories are automatically hidden until they contain a product. If for some reason you still think the supplied categories don't fit your particular product, just contact us and we'll be happy to set up as many custom categories as you need.

What is Noise & Vision?
Sample Dump and its parent company, Noise & Vision, are both run by Dave Corwin Polcino, a musician and filmmaker. His previous company, Digital Complete was a full service multimedia production company, started in 1992. His work has appeared on MTV, FOX, Warner Brothers and more.

NoiseAndVision.com is a new site, where artists of all interests can show their work and collaborate on projects with other creative professionals. It features original content, networking forums, contests, original interviews with successful artists, and even an awards ceremony.

Dave started these sites as a way to meet other artists and to help independent developers network and sell their unique goods.
